Mounting USB drive for NAS

Thanks Lucky, I tried above all process, network folder is showing but its empty, also if i am trying to copy anything, it says not enough space. please suggest.

is both above should be same?

you may have to go into command line and give access
using chmod 777
to the main folder /mnt/sda1

oh do try adding & removing the last / eg "/mnt/sda1/" vs "/mnt/sda1"
it differs for samba & ksmbd or if you have a $ in it

/mnt/sda1/ is your mounting point for "/dev/sda1/" not /overlay
best to enable file system check as well

Applied all above as described, now case it below

Please advice

/mnt/sda1/ is your mounting point for /dev/sda1/ not /
best to enable file system check as well

I restarted my router to resolve the same but now facing another issue as below

best to use the IP for now leave names until later

changed, but no luck
my router url is

try to remove / of end so /mnt/sda1
then reboot
& after make sure /dev/sda1 is mounted to /mnt/sda1

already we removed "/" from at last /mnt/sda1

under " Mounted file systems"
do you have
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/sda1

no, its not exists

I have created network shares entries again, windows access error is gone but now i am getting again permission related error

"You need permission to perform this action"

you can't get access to something until it's mounted
did you reboot the router ?

did you usb device come up in the list of devices

its only one in mount points

when you have it correct it will show under Mounted file systems
maybe you didn't load ntfs-3g

I think you are going to have to educate your self & go through the diagnostics area in

Thanks a lot dear, chmod 777 /mnt/sda1
works for me.

I have restarted my router and now facing windows cannot access \ error and it will go away to reconfigure network shares is any permanent solution for this?
