ModemManager use PPP instead of QMI

Hi all, I have Quectel EG25 that use QMI protocol for dialup.

But some how recently I found that the ModemManager use the PPP protocol intsead for the protocol.

Even in this scenario, the cdc-wdm0 device is exist in the /dev/cdc-wdm0 but ModemManager not using that for the modem protocol. This behavior appears randomly.

Any explanation why the ModemManager choose to use PPP protocol instead of the QMI protocol? any method to prevent this behavior occurred?

Best regards

Only one protocol is active at a time.

Hi thank you for the response,

Can you elaborate it more? like is it the modem that activate the PPP/QMI protocol? is there a way to check it in the modem? and can we change it from PPP to QMI?

Do not use ModemManager. No need. Just use QMI only.
