These devices can be locked down through protected‑routerboot, but if you can boot initramfs you are fine. Can use Mikrotik netinstall if you need stock.
From OpenWrt, you can get your backup and primary RouterBoot versions from: for i in /sys/firmware/mikrotik/*/*version; do echo echo $i; cat $i ; done
Does not matter, only that v6 will not boot on v7 RouterBoot. v7 should work with any v6 or v7 RouterBoot. If is does not boot from flash, check that the bootloader is set to boot from flash first flasheth in the OpenWrt sysfs driver /sys/firmware/mikrotik/soft_config/boot_device.
Yes, as long as you are using the firmware for correct device and sysupgrade, you can reset to stock (Mikrotik netinstall), or fresh OpenWrt (sysupgrade -n from initramfs), the bootloader and device-specific data parts on flash are not modified.
Hi after a misconfiguration I’m off … the AP doesn’t BOOTP/TFTP on tftp server when I press reset button before power on. Is it possible when I sysupgrade the firmware the BOOTP/TFTP doesn’t work anymore?
Hi I repeat and repeat all stages I did when I flashed the AP but nothing.. the tftp console doesn’t show anything. Are you sure when device is flashed with openwrt it would be boot tp again ?
