Mikrotik mAP2nd

Installing and Using OpenWrt

I tried to get OpwnWrt on Mikrotik mAP2nd (https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/UM/mAP), but could not get it loading.

I did it on windows by using pxserv, tried bunch of different ways, but no success.

but yet no success.

Any experiences - what to check, what I did not noticed...?

Finally got it solved:
Used another PC with Ubuntu linux:

  1. Plug into eth2, power on and set roueros to boot from ethernet first and bootp
  2. Power off, start script loader.sh
  3. Power on and watch command line. After a while there is message that your initramfs file is loading and USR led on router is blining
  4. When it finished normal Leds eth1 and wifi inidcates that it is now in router mode and you can access OpwnWrt on 192.168.1.1
  5. No go further with flashing sysupgrade.bin from OpenWRt...

I guess that my fault with windows and pxe server was ether one or both:
Windows Firewall settings
Router boot settings DHCP/BOOTP - I got it working when switched to BOOTP
