MF286D boot issue

Hi all,

My network had a few issues this morning, I noticed that 4 or 5 devices didnt have access to the internet and couldn't be pinged whereas all of the othrer devices working fine. I rebooted those devices but no difference so I rebooted the router.

The router appeared to reboot OK (based on the lights) but now nothing connects to it - wifi isn't visible, ethernet not handing out IP addresses. Tried using the reset button but it seems to make no difference, the router doesnt reboot when I hold the button - I've held it for about a minute and nothing happened.

The router has never done the 'lights; thing at startup - always power light solid for 5 or 6 seconds and then 4G and wifi lights come on. I can't seem to get it to do anything.

Any help appreciated. I am not home today so I wont be able to play around but I will be able to tomorrow.

if everything else fails, use serial ...

Any recommendations for which device to buy for this?

I'd go for a CP2102.

This is my second post about this issue as I think I wasn't offering enough info in my first post.

Asked on here and was advised jtag, which ive got and connected. The issue I'm having now is that for the life of me I can't get it to stop uboot, no matter how quickly I press esc.... it says "Press ESC to abort autoboot in 0 seconds", but then carries on even if I keep my finger on ESC from power on. Keystrokes don't do anything, if I have the ethernet cable attached it starts a tftp client (which I cant PUT things in), if I leave it out it complains Volume kernel not found!

With the ethernet cable in it goes looking for root_uImage on 192.0.0.0.1 (it says it has a random unrelated ip net to this). I have a tftp server running (tried both tftp64 and solar winds), set my ip as its looking for, set the directories, and nothing happens.

The output below is the putty console when I have the ethernet cable out. I need help on this, how do I flash the openwrt-23.05.5-ipq40xx-generic-zte_mf286d-initramfs-zImage.itb?
