Dear friends,
The RE450 should support mesh:
iw list | grep "Supported interface modes" -A 9
Supported interface modes:
* IBSS
* managed
* AP
* AP/VLAN
* monitor
* mesh point
* P2P-client
* P2P-GO
* outside context of a BSS
--
Supported interface modes:
* IBSS
* managed
* AP
* monitor
* mesh point
* P2P-client
* P2P-GO
* P2P-device
Band 2:
Any idea?

Sorry the interface is now updated and mesh is available. Strange. So fixed.

Mesh does not show up on the RE450v1.
After restarting network, the /dev/mesh0 interface does not show up and LuCi says "wireless not associated".
On my GLInet B1300 the same configuration works.
Here is my RE-450 configuration for mesh :
config wifi-iface 'mesh0'
option disabled '0'
option device 'radio0'
option ifname 'mesh0'
option mode 'mesh'
option mesh_fwding '1'
option mesh_id 'My Mesh'
option encryption 'sae'
option key 'xxx'
option network 'lan'

Do you think it would change anything if I recompile everything from git HEAD?
Should I drop the RE450 and switch to a modern AP like the GL-B1300 which has plenty of RAM/Flash and does not need to recompile for testing. I am worring that the radios might be too old for good support.
[Edit : I am going to close this issue as I am compiling from head. Head provides the new architectre ath79 and it is better to switch.]
