I've got a ZTE H298A(or H267A I got both, both say H267A on the board tho) router here, I removed the cooler and it seems it uses Mediatek MT7511T. Could it be possible? Is it worth it? Mediatek MT7530BU is possibly switch's CPU.
Do a forum search for "econet" which is future name for mt75xx series. Try to capture boot log IF you have ttl adapter, slim hope it has mt76xx written all over it and you can boot some mt76xx kernel over network and explore further.
Ok I've got the console access. What firmwares should I try?
Check uboot help, printenv.
check for any mention of mips or mt7x (x!=5) in the boot log.
you will need tftpboot, bootm commands.
printenv or first lines of log would reveal load address for the kernel
To try - kernel image of any ?ramips? device with same load / entrypoint address.
Can't interrupt the boot in any way. It says press 1 or 2 or 3, I press any of it but nothing happens. I press all, nothing. CTRL+C does nothing, Z, D also nothing. I tried pressing t, zte, tpl, nothing worked. And when you let it boot, you can't even login you write root instead you see ro+12o!!t something like this, it gets distorted. I've tried some know login and passwords, nope.
Lower speed?
You mean from 115200 to 57600 or something?
