Media Server on RPi4 running OpenWrt?

Would it be feasible to run Kodi or Plex (or similar) on OpenWrt-run Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of RAM? Or wouldn't BusyBox be a good starting point for that?

I looked into running Plex on OpenWrt a couple of years ago and could never find a working solution, some quick googling seems to show that's still the same, i do have Plex on a 2014 Mac Mini with only 4gb ram and it runs fine, so if you get it working at least that shouldn't be a problem.

Consider something like raspbian with eth0... then virtualise OpenWrt over usb3 eth1 ( bridged to eth0 would also work ) and eth2...

certainly feasible but not recommended.
virtualising is an option if you really need multiple operating systems but raspian can do most things that openwrt can do already.

also rpi4 does lacks hardware media encoding capabilities like other arm-platforms hence it will not cope with higres recoding and is thus a suboptimal media server.
