Luxul xbr4500 alternative firmware

Hi I have a XBR-4500 and I noticed it runs openwrt.
I am wondering if I can use custon f/w on it.
I need a way to block websites and I need to be able to "drop" inbound traffic instead of "reject".
I'd also like more log information like dropped incoming.
I'd also like to remove domotz & Router Limits as I wont be purchasing them and would like them removed if possible for security reason.

Does anyone have any info on this router?
Should I sell it and get something else?

The reason I bought it is:
1: I dont use wireless and most router have wireless
2: My dir655 was gigabit but wouldn't reach even 1/2 gigabit speeds (180Mbits) and I now have 300Mb
3: I got it brand new for $100CAD off an online auction

It would be nice to see my logs and block IP ranges for security reasons and this router is lacking.

thanks

Have you checked the Table of Hardware?

I don't see an "xbr4500" listed as being supported.

While this update comes quite late, I find it quite exciting.

As it happens Luxul XBR-4500 has its .dts file upstreamed and OpenWrt provides firmware for it starting with the commit 1d47f81581bc ("bcm53xx: build images for Luxul ABR-4500 and XBR-4500 routers").
