Luci can't be reached

I bought a second hand IoT machine as a router. CPU is the Celeron J1900. I used 23.03.7 squashfs.img to install openwrt then I modified router IP to 192.168.1.123 but can't connect to Luci. Is there anyone can help me out for this issue? Also, I deleted all of proxy server and I checked uhttpd... everything is all right but I still can't connect to Luci.

Thanks, David Ma

I assume it got more than one ethernet port, tried the other ?

22.03.7 I'm guessing ? is also outdated, go for 23.05.4.

Plus you got a console.

yes, openert version is 22.03.7

Why are you using an eol version? It would be best to use 23.05.4 which is correct and supported.

I worried about the latest version will be unstable. Maybe I'm wrong and I just a beginner for openwrt as well.

You worry too much.

Nope. Snapshots can be unstable, but the stable releases are rock solid.

If you change network configuration it is rolled back if you do not reconnect to new place of luci in a preset time.

Depends on which way IP was changed though...

To elaborate, here is the process for changing the ip address:

https://openwrt.org/faq/change_lan_ip

Don’t forget that if you change subnets, you must also make sure that you renew the dhcp lease on your client computer so that it wil be able to reach the router on the new subnet.

I tried to change other ethernet port on ISP router including 4 ports but still the same. Luci can't be connected.

This is getting confusing - what are you changing? How are you making the changes? And what did you change these things from and to?

What does your ISPs router have to do with your new router PC ?

ISP is CHT and use Nokia, HGW-Oew.

I remembered at the first time to setup IP as 192.168.7.53 so can you advise how to renew the dhcp lease on client computer?

Honestly it is really hard to understand what you’re even talking about.

The easiest way to force your computer to get a new dhcp lease is to bounce the connection (unplug and then plug the cable back in).

My laptop ip is always keep the same IP, 192.168.1.119. Can yuu advise how can I change to DHCP, not static IP? Sorry for easy question.

Is your computer set to dhcp or static ip?

I thought it shoud be static ip.

So go into your computer’s network settings and change it to dhcp.
