Hi, I have already added the translation package. I had to tweak the file a bit, but it should be ok.
Hi. Any possibility to send remote commands to the router via SMS?
Use smstools3 for this, see eventhandler in config.
Thanks.
Oh, https://eko.one.pl/?p=openwrt-smstools3 and https://eko.one.pl/?p=openwrt-sms_tool are seem different projects, it's rather confusing I would say..
Would this project and smstools3
work with ModemManager?
Someone has to check and write if it works. I don't use ModemMenager myself, so I don't know how it interferes with the presence of the modem in the system.
How about adding the MM support explicitly?
It has all the needed API to handle SMS messaging, and also it's own mmcli
which might replace sms-tool
:

Let me think..
- I don't use MM and I have no need for this package in my system.
- My package was supposed to be and I think is a simple GUI for sms-tool.
- I would have to rewrite the whole package because it is based only on what the sms_tool gives (another thing is that now the new package would have to be rewritten to LuCI JS).
So I'm sorry, but I'm not interested.
I know that MM can make life easier for users of some modems, eg QMI. It should be more of an appeal to the MM developers, since they made a great package that gives such possibilities, so why not go further and add a suitable GUI for SMS support.
OK, I see your point.
I just think that MM GUIs already exist but they are all for Desktop probably (I know, however, KDE Plasma Mobile transitioning to MM currently also).
So for OpenWrt we have to do it ourselves probably..
I think that if someone needed such a GUI, it would quickly be created for Openwrt as well.
I've decided to give it a try, but...
root@OpenWrt:~# opkg install luci-app-sms-tool

I'm more concerned about "dependency luci-lua-runtime", comgt
is installed:
root@OpenWrt:~# opkg list-installed | grep comgt
comgt - 0.32-34
I'm stupid, I don't know which package has a problem.
And this luci-lua-runtime is also normally installed? Maybe you need to download the package and install it manually?
No, here is no such package:
root@OpenWrt:~# opkg install luci-lua-runtime
Unknown package 'luci-lua-runtime'.
Collected errors:
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package luci-lua-runtime.
So you have to try to download the package and install it manually (I don't know if I chose the right architecture):
I build packages on the master version to keep them as up to date as possible, which as you can see is a problem with backward compatibility .
I see... Then I'll need to re-install from the Master completely.
Thank you for clarification.
Hi, friend. Any new version for sms-tool_2021-12-03-d38898f4-1_mipsel_24kc.ipk ? I can't install latest luci app sms tool with this version of sms tool.
