Low speed with x86 router and dumb AP

Hi everyone,

A few days later, i finally set up my T8 Plus as router with a dumb AP conected to it.

The purpose of doing this was that the AP with PPPoE conection was very slow (140/150mbps of 500mbps) but now i have even lower speed (60mbps). Previously, i though that the problem was the CPU of the Archer C6 that i had as router but now, with a better processing unit i got slower speed.

Why can this be possible? What should i try to find a solution?

there's a RTL NIC issue with the T8, I think it's only valid for the N95 version, is it the one you've got ?

Hmm i can tell you what says in the box but i dont think that would help much.

not sure if the fix is in the stable, might need to install a snapshot.

How can i install a new version keeping configurations?

use the sysupgrade image, if you're using squashfs.
if you're on ext4, export the package list and config before you upgrade.

if you simply want to verify the fix, boot an openwrt snapshot image from a flash drive.

for snapshots, yes.

No luci in snapshots. Install by ssh and do opkg update then opkg install luci-ssl

Or use https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ and add luci to the list of packages.
