Lost access to LUCI and SSH after upgrade

I upgraded my Zyxel NWA50AX Pro from 23.05 to 24.10 and now I cannot access LUCI or SSH. I had configured it to be dumb AP but it's acting like firewall is blocking access now. Wifi devices connect and work fine I just cannot manage anymore. My management interface is using vlan 99

You need to add your management network to the lan firewall zone.

There is no need to disable the firewall, especially because this is the result if it becomes re-enabled such as after an upgrade. The configs should be set explicitly such that the services have predictable results.

The other place where this is necessary on a bridged AP is the dhcp server on lan. It should be explicitly disabled with the ignore option, thereby avoiding the possibility of the dhcp server becoming enabled if dnsmasq is running. (And for the record, there is no need to disable dnsmasq as a service; dhcp will not run as long as the dhcp servers are explicitly disabled is the config file).

Thanks @psherman! Can I add this firewall change to the config while in failsafe mode and then reboot? I was trying to avoid having to reconfigure everything.

Do I add list network 'management' under the lan zone?

yes, precisely. Add that in failsafe mode then restart and you should have access again.
