I had static protocol on the lan interface of my Xioami 4A Gigabit Edition. After I changed it to DHCP via GUI of OpenWrt admin panel I got pop-up with 3 buttons, grey - dismiss, blue - try changes with reverse in the case of loss connection during 90 seconds, and red - just to accept new settings. I pressed red one and I immediately lost connection with my router. I tried to reboot my router, reboot PC, change Internet Protocol Version to 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.100. But nothing helped. Automatic mode in Internet Protocol Version didn't help either. Right now I can't access OpenWrt admin panel GUI as well SSH connection via PuTTY. I know how to debrick my router, but in this way I must do OpenWrt Invasion and OpenWrt installation again, so I need a faster way to fix the issue. If it is possible obviously.
I will be very thankful for help.
Your router is not bricked, but you did manage to configure your router so it has no IPv4 address.
- Do you receive a Link-Local IPv6 address?
- Does your device have a Reset Button?
That device model does have a reset button on the back. If you aren't worried about losing the rest of the configuration, or if you have a backup, that is your best option.
Alternatively though, if you have another working device, perhaps try to just uplink a LAN port from the Xioami to a LAN port of the other device. If it gets an IP, problem solved.
No.
It has. But I worry to get stock firmware after I press this botton.
You will not revert to stock firmware by pressing the reset button.
Provide it with dhcp server and ssh to address in dhcp logs?
If you have another router such as a home network, plug the LAN port into that router's LAN. Then check the other router's DHCP lease table for the IP that was assigned to the OpenWrt router.
Really though if you don't care about having to start the configuration all over, use the reset button is quickest way.
Solved. Thank you all guys who advised reset button. Now it works as it should.
