Hello,
today my router is a rack mounted Bintec RS353jv with integrated wlan-controller in conjunction with three standalone Bintec wireless access points W1003n.
There is no way to connect an Android 14 mobile device via IPSEC to the router, because Android 14 only supports IKEV2 and the router does not.
No I found openwrt, but I am unsure if openwrt supports my router, and if there is a modul for the wlan-controller.
If the router is not supportert, I am looking for an alternative router which is supportert.
Is there a lag if no wlan-controller is supoortert and the accesspoints are working standalone?
Does anyone experience with openwrt and Bintec RS353jv?
Is there an similar rack mountable router with openwrt support available?
Dirk
The Bintec RS353jv is a VDSL router, only Lantiq is supported by Openwrt.
You need to find out what your device is using.
Bridge the Bintec, and put a Openwrt capable router behind it ?
https://www.thomann.de/gb/swissonic_professional_router_2_mkii.htm but it's not a VDSL router.
Thank you for your answer.
I really need not VDSL or ADSL.
WAN is connected directly to a cable modem via Ethernet.
Swissonic router looks nice.
Are there any other rack mountable router useable with openwrt?
x86, but they will have no, or old, wifi.
