From what I understand that DLINK 862L and the Archer C7 share the same board. I was wondering if anybody would/could create the firmware for the 862L, its a cheap 1600 AC board (30$).
I was using DDWRT and they have a version for the 862 (some issues), and they have the Archer C7.

Although they appear to use the same SOC, they're definately not using the same board, as easily confirmed by checking the FCC docs linked from wikidevi. While, due to sharing the same SOC, both will have a lot in common, getting it to actually work on a D-Link DIR-862L will involve more than just changing the model identifier.
