Looking for a mom-friendly AC/AX router, 2025

Agh requiring 1GB RAM and another GB in storage.

Not sure what you're trying to say. I mentioned Adguard Home in the first post.

I can => https://www.testbericht.de/produkte/cudy-m3000-1-pack-white

Regarding Adguard Home (huge?) RAM requirements => you could also use adblock-lean?

Does your Mom like the design?

Does it, as even the Google WiFi does not have 1GB RAM?
Surely 512MB is sufficient unless you are stating AGH is unsuitable and a memory hog?

I think this is a controversial subject on this forum, so I'd rather not go there. Besides, this is OT.

I've been running AGH just fine on Raspberry Pi Zero 1/2 with 512MB for years with ~1M rules and multiple other services. I'm currently running AGH on my router with roughly ~200MB/150MB of RAM used/cached. I'd be curious to try it on a 256MB router, but I don't have any available. That's why the skepticism.

The place where the current router is besides the TV will not physically accommodate this one due to the high wings, unless I put it sideways with all the cables sticking out the back. So, again, either low and wide, or narrow and tall (or not so tall).

But, you know what, I will test the look with my mom

Yes it is! we were on the edge of the fires, some houses nearby are gone, but the majority of our block is ok. It's all about timelines for remediation and cleaning of ash and smoke damage. Hoping end of this month!

I've updated the first post with some of the suggestions with pictures and brief info, in case others might be looking for something similar.

So mom-friendly is a synonym for white and without visible external antennae?
 SCNR

(also, kidding aside, I agree that both of these help making technical gear blend in better)

Cudy M3000 is absolutely beautiful in black with the red top.

A perfect match for my mom's white wooden credenza

TR3000, same hw specs and design, except for flash size, fan less.

It was sold by Amazon for a short period of time.

What about the ASUS MAP-AC2200 ?
