Ln: failed to create symbolic link '/home/sysop/openwrt/feeds/base':

I read at the post that its advisable to compile with non root user.
If I do that I am getting this error:
ln: failed to create symbolic link '/home/sysop/openwrt/feeds/base': Permission denied
What should I do?

chown -R, since you probably already started the process once, as root.

rm -rf /home/sysop/openwrt (as root) works too.

The later (rm) is preferred, to really get rid of all the messed up access permissions. Not part of building (including cloning the git repo) should ever be done as root. Forget about your root password or the existence of sudo, purge them from your conscious memory.
