Hi,
I'm looking to buy a router ( with >= 4 port 1GbE and optionally ( >= 1 port 2.5 GbE or >= 1 port 10GbE )
But I would like something really simple to Flash with no mechanism that prevent to install or brick on purpose..
Is there device/brand that allow OpenWRT to be installed without struggling ? (available in EU )
Thanks.
Everything x86 is unkillable.

There is some discussion here and in the topic linked inside:
The world moves on, and the recommendations in Best "newcomer router" - 2024 have evolved, too. The next post lists the current winners. I'll keep it updated as I get new recommendations.
My criteria remain the same: inexpensive, easy to flash, full ability to fight bufferbloat, etc. These are the critical characteristics:
Supports official STABLE OpenWrt 23.05.x. No snapshot builds. I will update this when 24.10 ships.
Clear one-step installation instructions, without warnings, in the Table …

Cudy explicitly supports OpenWrt, by providing official guidance and interim conversion images.
But there are many that install via simple web upload, also some with different flashing recipes, and very few needing to solder usb gadgets or millisecond precision double tap on the button.

Thank you for the link @brada4
Too bad the table has some incompatibility issues...
The column are not resizable and therefore all the table header are truncated...
