I am currently using 17.01.2 plus the latest drivers (Pre-compiled updated mwlwifi drivers for stable releases); everything that is supposed to work, works flawlessly for me.
802.11r does not work, yet.
So if you have several routers, be aware that there is no 802.11r fast transition functionality
