I do not see that anything would have changed in that regard. Neither has a smallbuffers variant actually been merged, nor have the opinions of the primary qualcommax maintainers been changed to (not) accept these devices.

(and if I'm not totally mistaken, I seem to remember reports that memory pressure will make it bomb out in actual use even with smallbuffers).

Ah….that’s interesting. I suppose there isn’t much point in pursuing this one, then. Given that it was free, I’ll probably just donate or recycle it.

Same situation for me, got one of these devices. It would be great to uspport it.

Since the device comes with (obviously) an OEM firmware, what is specific to OpenWRT that makes it hard to support in OpenWRT? Does the OEM have access to different drivers etc.?

To my naive eye it seems to have plenty of memory. What’s the issue?
