Linksys EA8250

I did a search and after finding no results, was wondering if anyone had tried to load OpenWrt on one of these Linksys EA8250's.

I was in a bad spot after another Asus crapped the bed (I have a pile of them now) and needed something fast for the All Star Game and bought this thing for $68 at BJ's, only to get it home and find out how absolutely terrible the Linksys Firmware is (Oh God, oh God). No custom DNS WAN Value abilities, no DNSSEC abilities, super cheesy firmware (even after the latest update to 1.1.5.201210.

The [http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Linksys_EA8250] (http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Linksys_EA8250) page doesn't have too much to say about it being tested, "STATUS UNKNOWN" for OpenWRT, so I thought I would ask before I brick it on day 1.

I regularly load my ea8300 build on the 8250 with no issues.

does EA8250 with official openwrt support 256QAM?

maybe it is limited in the calibration data.

FCC docs also cover the Linksys EA8250. According to the RF Test Report BT BR+EDR, "All models are identical except for the EA8300 supports 256QAM and the EA8250 disable 256QAM."
