Linksys EA6300 USB port not working

USB port is working with stock firmware
after installing openwrt it stops working
I am trying to connect a android device for tethering 5G/LTE
the samsung A22 does not load or respond as soon as openwrt is installed.
in dmesg it looks like usb is present.

I don't have one of these devices, so I'm going on memory from other stuff in the forum...

IIRC, the USB works (provided you have installed the appropriate kmods) but the issue is that the USB bus power does not turn on properly. There may be a solution somewhere in the forums (use the forum search), or you can deal with this by using a powered USB hub or a device that has a separate power source (i.e. does not rely on USB for power).

usb hub workaround works
but did someone fix that USB power problem by gpio command ?
