Excellent, thanks for the report! Good news for its current state.
The area of active work now is to fix the Device Tree Source (dts) to properly find the hardware. That should start getting the ethernet, wifi, and other devices supported once accomplished.
My main concern with using the CronicCoreys release is that it hasn't had any updates, security or otherwise, in two years. I wouldn't use it as my main firewall or anyplace it is internet-facing.

The one from @croniccorey is working well. Package sources are all outdated and the release is no more maintained. All ETH ports and Wi-Fi work well, and it is stable.
It's a bit early for me to jump and test the release by @TahomaSoft.
But Ii closely look forward for the right time to switch on it.

Also, I should mention that @croniccorey's images no longer build, as the OpenWRT code of two years ago is out of sync more than enough with code today that a build fails early (building tools, ninja in particular).
