Lede-insomnia - LEDE Latest Stable 17.01.4 build with custom NodeJs 9, eduperez/mwlwifi_LEDE's WIFI driver, Redis 4, MariaDB 5.5.58

Yes, the best for you own is the best build

Are these builds still up to date for 3200acm ?

I built today it is 17.01.4, except for wifi with it is the latest and nodejs, mariadb, redis.

I use it every days.

Cool, i will try your latest build on my 3200acm.
Can i just go with the sysupgrade.bin ? Coming from a davidc502 build....

If you get ext-root Linksys WRT 3200ACM can keep that overlay I think you will need to do:
https://pages.corifeus.com/github/lede-insomnia/docs/ext-root.html

From where it is

block detect > /etc/config/fstab; sed -i s/option$'\t'enabled$'\t'\'0\'/option$'\t'enabled$'\t'\'1\'/ /etc/config/fstab; sed -i s#/mnt/sda1#/overlay# /etc/config/fstab; cat /etc/config/fstab;

Then it will keep you data in overlay. Of course you might have to re-install maybe the packages I don't know, either you will keep your backup or with this command before install, you can list with this:

echo $(opkg list_installed | awk '{ print $1 }')

then the output can be installed

opkg install #here goes the output that you got

the restore, but for me it keeps depends your packages are coming from.

sysupgrade -F https://cdn.corifeus.com/lede/17.01.4/targets/mvebu/generic/insomnia-eduperez-mwlwifi-lede-17.01.4-mvebu-linksys-wrt3200acm-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

here your packages:

/cgi-bin/luci/admin/system/packages/ipkg

mine is this:

src/gz insomnia_core http://cdn.corifeus.com/lede/17.01.4/targets/mvebu/generic/packages
src/gz insomnia_base http://cdn.corifeus.com/lede/17.01.4/packages/arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3/base

src/gz insomnia_telephony http://cdn.corifeus.com/lede/17.01.4/packages/arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3/telephony

but given you upgrade your will keep you david's updates...

Hey there,

WRT3200ACM here

Installed yesterday and set up without issue. However last night I had some instability and needed to restart the router. First the 5GHz Wlan shut down, followed by the 2.4Ghz Wlan.

A reboot fixed this. Could this be an issue with the Wifi Driver?

This is weird, for me I have to restart the Android. Sometimes for WIFI...

This never happend to me. Really. That the WIFI was not working.
I use for both 1900ACS and 3200ACM side to side. So I have no idea why it was needed shutdown.
Are as well using this?

https://pages.corifeus.com/github/lede-insomnia/docs/linksys-wrt-radar-detection.html

This could something to be perfect. I use the radar and I have never had instability. Given the WIFI is the latest, it is possible there are some erros, though as I am saying I never had a problem with 2 routers right now. I don't know. I only changed from stable 17.01.4 WIFI to the latest always.

That's all.

Do you use WDS, about that I have no idea, I dont use that.

So :frowning:

So after the reboot. are you still having issues?

Actually there is a new commit for the wifi, so I am building again.

https://github.com/eduperez/mwlwifi_LEDE/ (since it was 8 hours ago).

I haven't had an issue since last night. Also I am using the radar detection with everything set to US.

I don't use WDS, have no need to.

On a side note, this was a clean install that I performed yesterday.

Well the build is huge, so it will take about a day for everything.
So I will write you when there is new again.

Ok, thanks.

Awesome job replying back so quickly! Thank you!

Just one thing is that for me when you install factory the wifi is 00 - WORLD, so make sure to check if iw reg get is should all the same (FR or USA), but if iw reg get is all USA then you are done.

The building is going on, tomorrow I reply. CIAO

PS: Given the firmware changes with the WIFI you will have to sysupgrade again you can't change the wifi, since it is built in.

It is all USA, and radar is working correctly. Why I needed a reboot I don't know. Could've been just a hiccup.

OK, well, it is updating:
https://github.com/eduperez/mwlwifi_LEDE/commits/master

They are from the upstream GitHub today.
So this is Edge, all everything else is Stable.

OK OK OK, so I will message you when this is done. Dec 14....

And very weird for me this WIFI so flying my Android fastest was 523 MBit and never rebooted because of that.

Let's see, sometimes the stable is the best, I don't know, for me is super fast and is enough.

So here is something I noticed, I don't know if it matters though. While the kmod itself for mwlwifi may be up to date, the bin files in lib/firmware/mwlwifi were dated 10/18/2017, which would be old ones, I updated the kmod and then had to replace the bins manually and it all appears to be working correctly now

Weird, for me it is the same:

They are both 2 days age.

Where is it that you updated? Maybe I can add it in with the newer and build that...

Though it is now just 2 days old:
