LEDE has no DNS

I know resolv.conf is a temp file but I can't figure out how to set DNS for the router. All my clients are using pi-hole 10.10.1.2 and I thought I had this setup correctly but when I SSH into LEDE I have no name resolution. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong.
