Led triggers for netdevice question

hi,

i saw that when using netdevice triggers, the light immediately goes on after you assign a device name.

is there a way to only have the light go active once the interface is up?

if i use link mode with tx rx, the light is off unless there is activity.
if i use no link mode with tx rx, the light is on and blinks when there is activity.

i was hoping there was a way for the light to stay off until the device is up, and then stay on once it is.

Do you have Default state unchecked?

i doubt it.

i'm not using LUCI. just using the trigger driver and sharing my observation.
