I could not find the kmod-openvswitch package for the recent snapshot version. Previously I have installed kernel version 4.9.77 and there was also kmod-openvswitch_4.9.77 version. But now I have installed the recent snapshot version (4.9.85) for Archer C7 v2 and the there no openvswitch package there (http://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/targets/ar71xx/generic/packages/)
Will it be uploaded later or it is somewhere else? Please help.
Have you tried?
Please read the page regarding snapshots - especially the warming found at: https://openwrt.org/releases/snapshot
snapshots are built daily, and that sets time limits to installing new packages with opkg. Due to kernel version checksums, you can only install “kmod” kernel modules and other kernel version dependent modules from the exactly same snapshot build. So, a few hours after flashing the firmware you may not be able to install new modules with opkg any more (as the next snapshot has been built into the download repo and has different checksums)
Yes @lleachii, I understand about the warning for snapshot versions. That's why when I use a certain version, I keep the same vesion's packages backup on my PC. So that I can install them offline. I have backup copies of packages of kernel version 4.9.77.
The kernel version 4.9.85 is on-line for some days and the kmod-openvswitch_4.9.85 is not there yet. May be it is still on process to build.
