Kea Hot-Standby

Hello, the missing functionality in kea package is HA Hot-Standby.

When you have your office network based on OpenWRT it's a must to have High Availability for DHCP, as one router can fail and it should not disable whole office.

@pprindeville - what do you think about adding such a functionality? Would you like to work together on this?

What is missing?

The KB article even configures HA without databases (support for various DB are not included in the current OpenWrt build.)

What's your request?

Missing is HA configuration. My request is to have a HA configuration.

Read the article and do it yourself?

Edit. If you need help with kea then the kea list and KB is better suited.

Sorry, are you a bot? What model do you use?

I am perfectly able to configure kea HA, but OpenWRT does not have a configuration for this.

OpenWRT is missing HA configuration. My request is to have a HA configuration in OpenWRT.

Please explain what you define as

Please be more verbose and specific.

Stay civilized...

Not opposed to adding HA.

Probably also need to be able to do dynamic DNS and split-horizon with a remote name server...

Great, I will propose something then, probably directly on github. Thanks!
