Issue regarding the LuCI Webpage

We are facing the below issue while doing the testing on IPQ5018 Qualcomm EVK (AP.MP03) Board.

Case 1: Unable to configure the channel and hwmode options.
In Case of Linux terminal:

  1. We are using IPQ5018 Qualcomm EVK Board (AP.MP03), we are able to enable the Wi-Fi0 and Wi-Fi1.
  2. When we attempt to configure manually through a console terminal we have the following setup:
    config wifi-device 'wifi0'
    option type 'qcawificfg80211'
    option channel 'auto'
    option macaddr '00:03:7f:96:34:50'
    option hwmode '11axg'

config wifi-iface 'wifinet0'
option device 'wifi0'
option network 'lan'
option mode 'ap'
option ssid 'OpenWrt'
option encryption 'none'

NOTE: Above configuration remains same for other 2 Wi-Fi options.

In Case of Webpage:

  1. Below two options are unavailable for Wi-Fi Configuration in LuCI Webpage:
    option channel 'auto'
    option hwmode '11axg'

Whenever we are trying to Perform reset(Refresh to default), in that case we are not facing any issue.
But when we click on the Edit Button(Network -> Wireless); these two option we are unable to see. Which makes us unable to turn ON Wi-Fi option.

option channel 'auto'
option hwmode '11axg'

  1. We need your support on how to add the “channel and hwmode” options for accessing the Wi-Fi from the LuCI Webpage?

NOTE:

OpenWrt Version detail:
U-Boot 2016.01 (Oct 22 2022 - 08:57:38 +0000)
arm-openwrt-linux-muslgnueabi-gcc (OpenWrt GCC 7.5.0 r0+12684-3e0e0bbaca) 7.5.0
GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.31.1

Case2: Issue regarding the Encryption in LuCI Webpage.

Network -> Wireless

Under Wireless overview we have an edit option, when we click on edit option, it will lead us to interface Configuration:
Where we have two options

  1. General Setup

  2. Wireless Security -> Encryption -> WEP Open System (Weak security)
-> WEP Shared Key (Weak Security)
    -> No Encryption (Open Network)

  3. In addition to available options we need to have WPA2 and WPA3 in Webpage.
We need your support on how to enable these options in Webpage?

Just curious, who are you referring to when you say "we"?

This setting is invalid.

These options are available on official OpenWrt.

This exists in official OpenWrt.

It appears you are using firmware that is not from the official OpenWrt project.

When using forks/offshoots/vendor-specific builds that are "based on OpenWrt", there may be many differences compared to the official versions (hosted by OpenWrt.org). Some of these customizations may fundamentally change the way that OpenWrt works. You might need help from people with specific/specialized knowledge about the firmware you are using, so it is possible that advice you get here may not be useful.

You may find that the best options are:

  1. Install an official version of OpenWrt, if your device is supported (see https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org).
  2. Ask for help from the maintainer(s) or user community of the specific firmware that you are using.
  3. Provide the source code for the firmware so that users on this forum can understand how your firmware works (OpenWrt forum users are volunteers, so somebody might look at the code if they have time and are interested in your issue).

If you believe that this specific issue is common to generic/official OpenWrt and/or the maintainers of your build have indicated as such, please feel free to clarify.
