I installed a package from this link on to my router and not sure if it is valid
Define valid? Since the package you installed is not part of the official OpenWrt repo, it is reasonably safe to assume that it has not been vetted/reviewed by the OpenWrt dev team. That doesn't mean it is unsafe (although obviously I cannot say that it is safe, either), it just means it is from outside the repo.
As for the user specifically -- there is a user @dimfish who can probably tell you if it is their work or not.

This is mine build before my commit was merged into official OpenWrt branch.
This commit is already approved and you can install official OpenWrt https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/mediatek/filogic/
