Is there a future plan to bring back the uci-defaults functionality on Firmware Selector?

Is there a future plan to bring back the uci-defaults functionality? when a add any code to uci defaults, it says handling uci defaults is not enabled on server. i cant build a firmware with custom uci code to turn on ssid after reset/flash

It worked just 3days ago when building from source.

So please specify precisely what you have done to begin with.
