Is OpenWrt support MU-MIMO and Beamforming on x5000r Totolink?

The original of x5000r supports MU-MIMO and Beamforming. I don't know if I upgrade it to OpenWRT, those functions will be lost!

Got it, so there is no way to enable those functions right? Or it's just turn off on default

Whoa, you seemed to speak too soon.

The X5000R uses MediaTek's MT7915 as its WiFi chipset, which is supported by mt76 open source driver, including MU capabilities.

There at least two MediaTek chipsets which support MU-MIMO and beamforming in their open source drivers (i.e. in the mainline kernel) and the ath10k driver for Qualcomm Atheros chips also supports these capabilities upstream. There is also no need for any special configuration on OpenWrt to use these functions if the driver supports them.

This has been discussed here before: Does OpenWrt firmware support Beamforming + MU-MIMO- just for the record?
