Is OpenWrt Available for D-Link DIR-819 A1? Kindly Requesting Help or a Custom Build

I hope you are all doing well. I'm reaching out to kindly ask whether the D-Link DIR-819 A1 router is supported by OpenWrt, or if anyone has managed to run a build on it.

I’ve searched through the official Table of Hardware and forum threads but couldn’t find any confirmed support or available firmware image for this specific model.

If support already exists, I would deeply appreciate it if someone could:

  • Share the correct download link
  • Provide basic setup or flashing instructions

However, if OpenWrt is not yet available for this router, I would be truly grateful if any developers or experienced members could consider building a custom firmware for it.
I'm more than happy to:

  • Share hardware details
  • Provide testing feedback
  • Help in any way I can

8MB flash and 64MB mem is kind being phased out, because of insufficient resources hw resources.

Yes, I now understand that 8MB flash and 64MB RAM are quite limited for newer OpenWrt builds.
Still, if there's any minimal or lightweight custom build I would really appreciate it.

There isn't.
It's up to you to make one happen, esp since the device isn't currently supported.

If it is not currently supported and it is an old device, i would not expect anybody to support it in the future.

Look for a device that is supported.

Also, could you please recommend a good router for me within a budget of 4,000 to 5,000 BDT (around 40–50 USD)? I'm planning to buy a new one soon.
