This is not a storage issue, but a quality check packaging issue.Having said that, I've use opkg/apk upgrade for a 5+ years on various devices and not yet experienced any issues.I normally do a sysupgrade to current version (eg v25.12.4), then opkg/apk upgrade immediately after first boot.Monthly, I check for new version and if none found just do a opkg/apk upgrade to keep my userland packages current.
