I have an old router that i would like to use with OpenWRT. It is a Netgear DGN2200v4
.
I checked in the table of hardware but it has only version 1.
TOH
Does anyone have any ideas if it is supported, please? If yes which firmware do i have to use? It is not possible to open it, as i have tried it and only by damaging the casing it is possible.
If it isn't specifically listed, it's not supported, and the v1 isn't getting openwrt updates any more, due to insufficient RAM.

You don't have to damage the case. There are T8 screws hidden below the rubber feet.
UART port is close to the USB port, it does not have headers so you have to solder some yourself.
UART pinout is (left to right, USB port facing upwards): VCC, RX, GND, TX.
Baud rate is 115200.
Bootloader is CFE version 1.0.38-112.70 for BCM96328.
Get root shell by pressing enter after boot (no password !).
