Is my Chinese router using OpenWrt firmware?

i would like to know if my chinese 4glte router(uses a SIM card) with model R9 is using openWRT.
if yes, i doesnt work consistantly anymore for the last 3 months.
i connects to my ISP and then after 5 minutes disconnects.
i managed to dowload this system log below, hope it helps to find a solution.

It seems to be connected to OpenWrt, but the exact version can be shown with ubus call system board

can you help me to find it

Use ssh to connect to the device.

Then issue the command.

Those are the steps.

Based on that LEDE string and kernel version, it is likely a derivative fork based on OpenWrt 17.01 from years 2017-2018. Kernel is equal to 17.01.5 from July 2018.

this is wat i got

root@R9:~# ubus call system board
{
"kernel": "4.4.140",
"hostname": "R9",
"system": "MediaTek MT7628AN ver:1 eco:2",
"model": "R33",
"board_name": "R33",
"release": {
"distribution": "LEDE",
"version": "17.01.5",

"codename": "openwrt",
"target": "ramips/mt7628",
"description": "LEDE OpenWrt 17.01.5 1.0.28"
}
}

thank , so what do i need to to do to make it work properly.
because it keep disconnecting and i have to restart to make it work again.......sometimes it doesnt work for days.

does the info below help

root@R9:~# ubus call system board

This router doesn't seem to be supported by OpenWrt.
Most likely the image used was this one, but god know with how many modifications. There is a later version which is also unsupported. So basically there is not much we can do to help here.

the image that you provided. can i try it?

No idea...
It is the generic image for 7628 based devices, but it has not been tailored to support hardware changes made in your device. Might be that Chinese manufacturer has changed something, e.g. left out some hardware, so that the default might not work.

Possibly it works, but no-one knows.

At least you should learn any possibly recovery methods that your device offers . E.g. is there a TFTP recovery in bootloader?

how do i check if it has TFTP recovery in bootloader?

Look at the manual, Google internet for any info about the router, Look at info on similar routers...
There is no standard way.

or open it up and look for a serial console.

In these the modem is a separate internal module with its own CPU and OS. It is connected to the MT7628 running OpenWrt with a USB link. The problem with LTE connectivity may be the modem.

In this case it is worth it to pay more, even if it is quite a bit more, for a name brand.
