Is luci-app-dockerman package still supported or exist at all?

I tried to request a build with this package and searched for it in software lists, but I couldn't find it. Wiki still has a reference to this package, but all pages appear to be outdated with OpenWrt release data being 22.03.

Where do I find info about what packages are supposed to be supported? Perhaps the package is not being built for my target arch, how do I find out which archs the packages are available for?

For the reccord, the following is the build error logs:

The dependency - docker - is missing on ramips.

How do you know this? Where can I check for myself so as not have to ask here on the forum?

Also, you're wrong; docker is available:

check all dependencies of luci-app-... in the same screen..... then cross-reference to https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/faillogs-24.10/

None of the dependencies of luci-app-dockerman (according to the wiki page) shows up in the mipsel_24kc fail logs.

The wiki is outdated as I mentioned though. Perhaps there's a new dependency not documented there?

If you try to select a package in package GUI you see missing dependencies.

Brother, luci-app-dockerman doesn't even show up in the package GUI, how am I supposed to select it, let alone see the missing dependencies?

Also, going by the outdated wiki's dependency list, libc and luci-lib-docker doesn't show up in the package GUI.

What does the issue tracker at GitHub say on this topic?

You can try manually installing dependencies and copying luci files, then follow up by PR

Uh, never mind about libc, it didn't show up because it was already installed.

Which issue tracker? The original project or OpenWrt's? I don't know where I'm supposed to look for this info.

https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/issues

Try that one.

luci-lib-docker doesn't show on package GUI either, so manually installing dependencies is not happening. And what do you mean by "copying luci files, then follow up by PR"? I don't know what either of those entails.

Nothing related on either this issue tracker or on openwrt/luci. I guess I should just post this thread over at the issue ttacker? Which would be more appropriate, the openwrt tracker or luci? The makefile @brada4 linked lives on the luci repo...

So far so good.

Not quiet yet.
Let's wait if you can be enabled to pin point it down and maybe someone else to replicate it too.

Initial commit added arm x8646 aarch64 only, no reason given, somebody has to test new platform. Likely nothing broken just that running a container on average ramips is a wishful thinking.

Probably. I just want it to be able to quickly enable/disable netboot.xyz container. I was able to get it running with dnsmasq PXE boot directly, but it doesn't provide the distros I'm looking for. The only way to sanely add multiple different distros is the netboot.xyz Docker container.

I am hoping such a simple container (that doesn't run actively does things while running) should be usable on the mipsel_24kc. And this device is a secondary dumb AP anyway, the processor isn't being hit hard either.

Wishful thinking or not, the docker package is certainly available for this platform. Only the luci-app-docker is missing.

Unlock and build it, no reason provided it should not work on other platforms.
Also considet making rootfs tarball as on x86 to actually propagate the container.

Unlock what? And if I want to build, am I following Building a single package instructions?

... I don''t know what you mean. Are you telling me to build the entire OpenWrt firmware on my x86 computer? What is container propagation?
