Is it possible to build NordVPN headless packages?

I will try to ask NordVPN if the source code for the released NordVPN Headless packages are public.. I will get when I have received a reply from NordVPN.

I will ask NordVPN why they do not support WireGuard... Will get back when I have a reply.

Hello,

Thank you for your letter.

We're actively developing the product, so please keep an eye out for updates.

Currently, we support a limited number of devices because we physically test each one to ensure everything works reliably before release. We do plan to expand platform support in the future. Additionally, NordVPN Lite is open source

NordLynx is indeed based on WireGuard and our development team is actively looking into providing manual configurations in the future.

Lastly, regarding your questions surrounding collaborating with OpenWRT developers and the special headless package, sadly, we are only able to provide information regarding these projects at this time.

Let us know if you have any further questions!
Kind regards,

I can confirm NordVPN definitely works with Openwrt's wireguard implementation.

Getting the configuration set up (ip, endpoint, passphrase, etc) can be a little tricky but many many tutorials out there to help with that.

NordVPN is commercial organisation but they are free to develop packages for OpenWRT and they can host them on their own servers for everybody to use.

Not sure why Openwrt should support commercial organisations which do not want to supply config files which can be easily imported in Openwrt's WireGuard implementation just like most other providers
