Simplest might be possible to add the affinity setting commands to /etc/rc.local, but I will look into irqbalance: https://github.com/Irqbalance/irqbalance EDIT: you noticed the irqbalance, while I was writing this.

(originally they are all in core0, but after irqbalance has been running, they have been distributed between core0 and core1)
