- What is HL (no yet)???
- On v17 and 18 of OpenWrt, iptables6 should be installed
If you have a "freshly booted router" (I assume reset to default) - just make the changes above. Let us know your results.

I thought I need to set this up too.
This is why I thought it be best for @dlakelan to assist you. He suggested you mangle a packet - because the TTL was 1, not me.
If you fixed that (by making the TTL 2 on VLC player), then this becomes unnecessary.
You have a habit of not following why someone told you to do something to your router, as well.
Because supposedly his version of vlc crashes when he sets TTL=2... Sigh..
these are my firewall and network settings. Can't view the stream.

net.ipv6.conf.all.mc_forwarding = 1
Why is your sysctl.conf COMPLETELY EMPTY AGAIN EXCEPT FOR THE 2 LINES!?!?!
THIS was your exact issue in the previous thread about IPv4 multicast!
Start again with a reset, please ask if you need help editing files.
I don't why its just the 2 Lines. But it works in IPv4. Also after making a hard reset its still only those 2 Lines
do a cat /etc/sysctl.d
What version of OpenWrt are you running?
root@OpenWrt:~# cat /etc/sysctl.d
cat: read error: Is a directory
root@OpenWrt:~#
Version is 18.06.1
Are you able to run VLC with a TTL > 1.
root@OpenWrt:~# iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -d 224.0.0.0/4 -p udp -
j TTL --ttl-set 2
root@OpenWrt:~#
What does this have to do with VLC?
OK, I can't assist if you won't answer my questions, and put random firewall rules in places instead.
I set HopLimit in VLC to 2
default was -1
I also did exactly what you said. I'm also not putting random stuff anywhere.
I set the sysconfig , network and firewall settings as you said. I also set TTL to 2 in VLC.
No stream.
Do I have to setup a static IPv6 address on my router ?
You have to have IPv6 enabled on all interfaces involved, including the client. Link-Local and/or ULA addressing will do.
You also have to permit IPv6 multicast through the client firewall.
IPv6 is enabled on both Computers.
Th LAN has fd91:41e1:ac29::1/60 assigned.
Now I know this was pretty stupid of me. But I think I have to assign a static IPv6 Address to the WAN/WAN6 port because there is no DHCP because I'm not connected to the Internet.
