Answering my own question... The ct website has a helpful section here:
http://www.candelatech.com/ath10k-10.4.php#config
22.03 is brand new and will soon have opkg installable packages (early next week?).

If that is not enough for your needs @KONG is using a larger amount that is working for him:
sysctl -w net.core.rmem_max=1573376
sysctl -w net.core.wmem_max=1573376
And don't forget to change /etc/config/nlbwmon:
option netlink_buffer_size 1573376
I tried those settings and now I don't get any log records stating the buffer is too small but nlbwmon data just stops updating after some time.
It worked for me 2 weeks ago.

Hello i installed yesterday, my R7800 Firmware Version OpenWrt 22.03-SNAPSHOT
How to manual config NSS SQM is there any help i can follow the instructions
Replicating my build from scratch:
Master:
git clone -b kernel5.15-nss-qsdk11 https://github.com/ACwifidude/openwrt.git
Openwrt 23.05:
git clone -b openwrt-23.05-nss-qsdk11 https://github.com/ACwifidude/openwrt.git
Openwrt 22.03:
git clone -b openwrt-22.03-nss-qsdk10.0 https://github.com/ACwifidude/openwrt.git
If you are building for one type of router you can change the first section of the diffconfig on github to just one device if you are building for a particular model (delete all …
This all the build and configuration options / suggestions. Should get you started!

22.03 needs a rebase to fix package downloads since they're up now and there was no key set for 22.03 until this commit , you need to disable check_signature to download packages until the next rebase

Fixed! Rebased it on Friday after the keys were loaded. Pushed Friday’s 22.03 rebase to GitHub.

Hi ACwifidude,
For your 21.02-based images, I think the numbering is incorrect. For example "Stable2012NSS" should be "Stable2102NSS"
For example:
R7800-20220312-Stable2012NSS-sysupgrade.bin
should be:
R7800-20220312-Stable2102NSS-sysupgrade.bin
Thanks,
Eric

Agreed. I updated the branch to the correct naming (qsdk10.0) and fixed the error in my script causing the file naming to be silly..
Made edits to post #1 and #2 above.

Hi ACwifidude,
Your NSS 22.03 image has converted my perennial R7800 C-grade student to an instant A-grade student with flying colors in Dr. Evil Bufferbloat's class. Thanks a lot for the great effort!.

Hi ACwifidude,
The latest rebase 22.03 image (r19177+19-58242ef347) still does not fix the signature check failure.

I need a rebase the additional keyring updates (from Saturday). I’ll have some time this next weekend to build and post an updated build. In the meantime master is about at the same location and you can run that (has fully functional opkg for anything you need).

I imagine that for this new branch, we have to rebuild the configuration file from scratch?

Hi ACwifidude,
All the kmod packages for the Master build are bad. They are tagged with 5.10.107 but will show "5.10.108" as the dependency kernel during installation.
opkg install kmod-usb-serial_5.10.107-1_arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4.ipk

Interesting. I’ll rebuild this weekend and it’ll update both the kernel and packages.

Any chance of a 19.07 build with nss?
Unfortunately not. Backporting to kernel 4.xx for 19.07 would probably be a lot of work. 19.07 will soon be end of life and no longer supported. OpenWrt will soon recommend people on 19.07 to upgrade to a newer version. NSS works on 21.02, 22.03, and master - try out one of those versions and see what you think.
I'm using netgear r7500v2, wifi only works properly in v19.
Even in stock v21, wifi is stuck at +-50mbps in some of my devices..
