I just installed current snapshot on my EA8500, which I noticed bumped the kernel to 5.10:
OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r17693-c2222f74c8 / LuCI Master git-21.281.53678-df75163
I noted the ksmbd package names have changed. It also looks like the dependency for luci-app-ksmbd needs to be updated from ksmbd-server to ksmbd-fs-ksmbd?
Also noticed irqbalance is no longer available as a package.
glib2 fails, and that kills all dependent packages, like kmsbd-tools and irqbalance.
Not quite sure if that is meson trouble (@neheb ) or something related to python? Meson in build tools was updated yesterday.
Applying ./patches/006-c99.patch using plaintext:
patching file meson.build
bash: /builder/shared-workdir/build/sdk/staging_dir/host/bin/meson: /builder/shared-workdir/build/staging_dir/host/bin/python: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [Makefile:132: /builder/shared-workdir/build/sdk/build_dir/hostpkg/glib-2.68.4/.configured] Error 126
It will take maybe 4-6 hours before the phase1 buildbot has been built all SDKs.
After that the following package builds in the phase2 packages buildbot should succeed again, but it may take 1-2 days before all targets have been rebuilt.
You give me too much credit. "Of course" for you, but me, not so much
No matter. Same day service on a Sunday and me not even a paying customer is really quite amazing. Thank you all for diagnosing and getting this fixed so quickly!
I must have just caught bracketing the issue. I could install irqbalance after updating to a fresh snapshot on my ER-X, but could not on my ipq devices right after updating the ER-X.
