not sure what you mean by DFS ??
stock b3000 has nss , mined topped out around 860/900 stock, and on openwrt I am seeing 680/700 without nss. I suspect that will only get better, as things continue to improve

DFS radio scanning - if I want to choose 160MHz or channel over 100, it is doing a pre-scan. Now I see that on my build it is also not working...
Does your build populate the luci --> network--> wireless signal and noise values ? I see some real differences in the dts aswell. Can you post a bootlog using your build ?
Hi,
might be difficult. I return back to stock (beta release) software via u-boot method. I need more stable Internet in that part of home. One day I will go back to your image.
ya no need. I had a look at it, seems to be just a partial clone of my repo. It is using ath11k 2.12 and seems to be running pretty stable (tested for 24 hrs no issues), but is lacking throughput someplace as it tops out about 400/400 compared to the latest 6.6.72 version which is 660/700.
In that case, I can switch once again to your version when you will push the code on GH/Gitlab/etc and I would be able to compile my own image.
Hi there, I'm back, running a business and house break a new dog at the same time isn't a easy task
My setup is: Optic Fiber modem of 2gb/s, with 5 gigabit ports, 5x B3000, 2x GL-X750 and 1x Flint 2. The 750 are wired to the modem and one of the B3000 as well. The Flint 2 is handling all the heavy load, with a dedicated server that is directly connected to it, managing the captive portal, DHCP, VLANS, etc
For my needs, need to setup a network for a restaurant and different building of the same company, stable, up to 230 clients at the same time (between IoT stuff, cash registers, Wifi Thermal printers) I need to cover a very wide area, many old brick walls, need to assure that servers can use it to submit orders to kitchen, also that clients can use unrestricted Wifi to the webpage that is hosted on the Server, and they can order from the table as well.
I have all B3000 routers working with the flash that you baked for me with batman, physically impossible to wire them, all routers are using the 5G Batman mesh as backbone, is a 5G network that is just used for admin purposes, and the public/just workers networks are over 2.4g, they are working great, WiFi AX is a blast dealing with many devices , but they have some bugs after 30-40h of operation, solved making a orchestrated cron restart at night.
If I plug a Ethernet cable and speedtest at the further away router, it gives a internet speed of 60 mb/s, pretty good considering that is almost 150 mts away, crossing streets, just by mesh, and very thick walls. Also can see and interact with all network devices, which is very important.
It has some bugs, are some devices (like a old MacBook), that completely crashes the full network, I don't have a clue how or why. Forcing me to reboot everything manually.
I can happily try the new firmware if you can bake batmand, kmod-batman-adv, luci-proto-batman-adv, wpad-wolfssl in it.
Thanks!!
I think i will build you a new image, best i recall, you are using the unstable version in which the 5018 radio was flaky at best. The latest versions(6.6.71 & 6.6.72) are running very stable, I have a unit clocking in at 26 days without as much as a hiccup. This seems to be the case now, for all currently supported ipq5018 devices.
I will get you fixed up right away, Can you remind me of the packages you require ?
Thanks!! The packages that I need are batmand, kmod-batman-adv, luci-proto-batman-adv, wpad-wolfssl
I will get one whipped up for you this evening.
Sorry for the delay ... had a busy weekend.
new image --> https://filebin.net/hum80c9mur70hgtw
package list is included in the zip file, I am pretty sure its got everything you need.
to update, use luci, uncheck "keep setting" and check "force upgrade". Unfortunately, You'll need to re-eneter your wifi settings after the upgrade.
For all other testing the b3000 ... New 6.6.74 .ubi file added to the repo here --> https://github.com/TheRootED24/GL.iNET-B3000-MARBLE-fit-images/blob/main/openwrt-qualcommax-ipq50xx-glinet_gl-b3000-squashfs-factory-6.6.74-ubi.zip
Do your instructions apply to everyone?
Also, is there anything specific that has changed since the last build? (other then new kernel).
Nothing has changed performance wise. Just code cleanups and some refactoring. I see no real advantage upgrading other than if there is an issue, its best to know about it while the development is still active.
With that said, I've seen no issues with functionality, both radio running for weeks ..over 5 weeks on one unit.
The only ongoing issue is the luci wifi signals do not populate properly. I've seen this same issue reported on other 5018 devices as well. I don't think its even worth the mention until 5018 is official.
@Hostle Thanks for your work, can you provide me the address of your repo? I am also working on running vanilla openwrt on GL-B3000, but I encountered some problems. Maybe your work can reduce a lot of my repetitive work. Thanks again.
@shi05275 all @hostle repos are here https://github.com/TheRootED24/
Hopefully you can see which one is the current one.
Hello, I tried to install it but isn't working with LuCi, tried with U-boot and made a soft brick, needed to reinstall the old version.
Thanks for your reply, I will check it out.
which version were you using before you tried to upgrade?
I will need some logs. I have loaded it on 2 separate devices ... both running fine.
You did unzip the file first right ?
this is irrelevant as all image i've produced are 6.6+ and the file is a factory ubi.
Sounds to me like he tried to load the zip file instead unzipping it and loading the actual ubi file found inside.
