Iphone tethering, all fine but interface does not get ip (works..sort of)

HI!
I strictly followed the "official" guide for tethering my ipone for internet connection (I followed th ios specific sections). The eth2 device gets created just fine, the iphone reports being connected just fine, firewall zone is fine but the "CELL" interface doesn't receive ip adresses. Any ideas?
Iphone 11 with ios 18.3.2
Router: GL.Inet AR150 with opnwrt v24.10.0

update: got it to work... under some conditions.

  1. it seems that if I share my iphone cell netwrok with other devices (phone, pc etc..) it no longer works so I need to reboot the iphone
  2. I need to plug the iphone and activate sharing in the right order (which I am not 100% sure yet). With trial & errors it worked so far a few times.
