Invizbox straight Openwrt

I have an Invizbox 2 but I want to change the VPN provider that works for the router. However, it seems that this not possible with the Invizbox firmware, but is it possible to install Openwrt?

I see that Invizbox is not listed as a compatible hardware does that been that I would need to conduct a custom build of the firmware or is there an existing image that would work?

Yes, OpenWrt would allow you to chose any VPN router. But that device is not supported, and adding support is not as easy; have a look at https://github.com/invizbox for more info.
