Internet disconnects in intervals

I am very new on OpenWRT, this may very well be something silly.

Today I connected my Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 IoT Router Carrier Board Mini (https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2242.html). WAN is connected to a modem my ISP supplies and LAN is connected to a HP switch.

Every now and then the internet connection is dropped. Facebook complains, Youtube sometimes stops, websites won't load and so on.

Logs says this:

Any help is very much appreciated.

The first check would be the cable between modem and drfobot base board.

Another debugging step could involve putting a simple unmanaged switch between modem and dfrobot base board (to rule out interoperability issues between dfrobot and modem).

Disclaimer: this is just generic debugging advice, I have no personal experience with the RPi ecosystem or the dfrobot board in particular and probably can't help beyond this.

Thanks! I have changed the cable and changed the port on the built in switch in the modem.
At the moment I don't have access to an unmanaged switch.

So far no noticable disconnects for an hour. I'll keep it this way for some time and get back to you.

What twists it has been.

I would call this solved. It's a heating issue.
My network equipment is placed in a cupboard. I thought it was ventilated enough.

When I opened it to change cable, the cooler air stabilised the router. During the last two days there has only been issues when someone accidentally closed the door.

Now I have to find a way to ventilate the cupboard.
