I am trying to get intel 7265NGW wifi adapter working on x86 mini PC. I have installed the necessary dependencies including the kmod for this wifi. However, the adapter is not detected. I am not sure how to proceed from here.

Before going into the details, you do realize that Intel WLAN cards do not support AP mode (except for maybe in parts of the 2.4 GHz band)? Furthermore you'll only be able to cover a single band with a single radio.
For this device you'll have to install kmod-iwlwifi and the corresponding firmware for your card (I can't check its name or if it's packaged up right now).
