Installing ZeroTier on arm_cortex-a15 vfpv3

Hi, i am trying to install zerotier on my modem that uses an arm_cortex-a15 vfpv3 architecture. However, on the https://archive.openwrt.org/releases/22.03.0/packages/ url, my architecture is not available. How can i resolve this?

Thank you!

What's the target? Can it do arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4

Can it do 22.03.7 not 22.03.0?
Why not upgrade to 23.05.x? i.e. why still on 22.03.0?

https://archive.openwrt.org/releases/22.03.7/packages/arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4/packages/

I see zerotier in 22.03.7. But I can't see arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv3

Hi! I have tried using arm_cortex-a15_neon-vfpv4 before, however it seems that it always state "unknown package: zerotier" and " * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package zerotier." in the logs.

my firmware is custom, so im not too sure if i can upgrade it.

is it possible to compile a package for openwrt 22.03 with my current architecture?

"custom" as in it's not openwrt? Can it have stock openwrt put on it?

Okay to answer this bit. What exactly is the hardware then?

I think we're getting out of scope for this forum if we can't get openwrt on it.

Have a look at upstream zerotier and how to compile / cross compile.
Or have a look at openwrt SDK and play with the settings?

Or mess with your firmware's feeds / acceptable architectures.....

Only example I can help you with is with tailscale on some "custom" carrier provided equipment I just grabbed the tailscale binary from tailscale and then did a hack job and my own init scripts to get it to run....

It appears you are using firmware that is not from the official OpenWrt project.

When using forks/offshoots/vendor-specific builds that are "based on OpenWrt", there may be many differences compared to the official versions (hosted by OpenWrt.org). Some of these customizations may fundamentally change the way that OpenWrt works. You might need help from people with specific/specialized knowledge about the firmware you are using, so it is possible that advice you get here may not be useful.

You may find that the best options are:

  1. Install an official version of OpenWrt, if your device is supported (see https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org).
  2. Ask for help from the maintainer(s) or user community of the specific firmware that you are using.
  3. Provide the source code for the firmware so that users on this forum can understand how your firmware works (OpenWrt forum users are volunteers, so somebody might look at the code if they have time and are interested in your issue).

If you believe that this specific issue is common to generic/official OpenWrt and/or the maintainers of your build have indicated as such, please feel free to clarify.
