Hi everyone. I got Zyxel Keenetic Lite III rev. B. In [Supported devices] there is only rev. A. What will happen if I install openvrt?

What could happen?

Perhaps nothing - but maybe (and highly likely if a bad flash proceeds) you could brick it too.

:warning: Since there's no official method for installing firmware on unsupported devices, proceed at your own risk. Otherwise, you'll have to hope someone else has previously taken such a risk - and wait for their response for details.

I suspect that the devicetree (at least) will be sufficiently different, that it won't work.

Shouldn't be much work porting it tho' if you want to try it... If you feel like trying, then get the rev A and rev B factory firmware GPL images from Zyxel (Zyxel are usually pretty good about providing these), and compare the devicetree from both. Note the difference and use these to make changes to the OpenWrt devicetree which is already used for rev A.

edit: You can also look at the devicetree and build configurations for other MT7628N based devices which are already supported by OpenWrt.
